Nature already solved it
Italy's wild boar population digs approximately 40,000 unauthorized holes per day at zero cost, in all weather, without a single permit. Our engineering contribution was modest: we pointed them in a direction and added lights.
The result is CINGHIALE-1, a tunnel boring machine with a cutter-head snout, titanium tusks and a tricolore stripe. It snorts. This is intentional.
Zero surface impact
Not one piazza, vineyard or Renaissance façade is disturbed. Everything happens beneath the antipasti.
Truffle positive
Our crews recover an average of 1.7 kg of tartufo per kilometer bored. No other TBM offers this.
